Additive Manufacturing Online Certificate Program – Honors

The Additive Manufacturing Certificate Program is 100% online, providing you the flexibility to learn at your own pace and obtain fundamental AM knowledge and skills to apply to your projects and advance your career. Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and The Barnes Global Advisors (TBGA) offer the Additive Manufacturing (AM) Certificate Program to give working professionals and students an opportunity to stay current with rapidly growing AM technologies.

The program consists of four, self-paced courses: AM Essentials, AM Technology and Materials, AM Design, and Business & Economics (8.0 CEUs). The program is designed to provide professionals and/or students with fundamental knowledge of AM with an additional focus on design principles that can immediately applied to careers and projects.

Additive Manufacturing for Engineers and Managers

Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and The Barnes Global Advisors (TBGA) offer the Additive Manufacturing (AM) Certificate Program to give working professionals and students an opportunity to stay current with rapidly growing AM technologies.

The program consists of three, self-paced courses: AM Essentials, AM Technology and Materials, and AM Design (6.0 CEUs). The program is 100% online industry-related content tailored to a more technical audience. It is designed to provide professionals and/or students with fundamental knowledge of AM with an additional focus on design principles that can immediately applied to careers and projects.

Application of scientific and engineering principles in the selection and design of control systems related to chemical, physical and ergonomic exposures in the process and manufacturing industries; relationships of criteria, analysis and specifications for the assessment and control of occupational related illnesses.

Fundamentals, Experiments, and Applications of Corrosion

Corrosion’s annual estimated impact on our economy is over $1 trillion! The Fundamentals, Experiments, and Applications of Corrosion course is aimed at educating and training the workforce the nation needs to address this problem. This course will develop methodological approaches in characterizing existing and new materials performance in extreme and harsh environments. Learners will develop the knowledge to meet technological and scientific challenges in applications critical for our society.

30th Annual Snack Food Processing (Extruded Snack and Tortilla Chips) | March 23-27, 2026

This short course will train production personnel in principles and characteristics of extruders and support systems (drying, coating, packaging) for effective selection and operation; review current practices for preparation of fried corn chips, corn tortilla chips, half products, high protein snacks and other extruded snacks; and familiarize attendees with practical aspects of snack foods processing technology.

11th Annual Extruded Pet Foods and Treats | July 6-10, 2026

The Extruded Pet Foods and Treats program will cover information on material handling, preconditioning, extrusion of pet foods, extruded and non-extruded treats, raw material, extrusion hardware, automation, product analysis, meat handling in pet food, drying, cooling, and enrobing, food safety, pet food and treat shelf life, and troubleshooting. This program will:

  • Train production personnel in principles and characteristics of extruders and support systems for effective selection and operation. 
  • Review current practices for preparation of pet foods and pet treats.
  • Familiarize attendees with practical aspects of extrusion technology for pet food manufacturing.
