Next Gen Project Management | May 21-22, 2024
Capital projects are unrecognized production systems that can be modeled, optimized and controlled as such, enabling companies to reduce cost, shorten schedules and ultimately deliver predictable results. Production thinking opens many decisions that project leaders need to make that are not seen through current methods. To that end, Texas A&M University and TEES-EDGE, in partnership with the Project Production Institute (PPI), is offering a two-day introductory course with a goal to enable participants to grasp fundamental production management concepts and principles.
Next Gen Engineering and Construction (Part 2)
Next Gen Engineering creates the basis for all subsequent work. It must be done with technical quality, in sequence, and generate deliverables that meet the needs of suppliers, fabricators, constructors, and operators. Engineering frequently fails to deliver on these fundamental objectives. Workflows not understood, priorities out of sync with project needs, designs that are not tailored to the constructor’s methods, and the struggle to rapidly replan and reprioritize when things go wrong all contribute to the lack of performance.
This two-day course will enable participants to understand the engineering methods needed to generate the flow of work to optimize project performance.
Lean Six Sigma Program
TEES EDGE offers Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belts. Organization-wide deployment of Lean Six Sigma, selection of Lean Six Sigma projects, formation of teams, project management, and Lean Six Sigma certification are discussed. In addition, TEES EDGE now offers the next crucial piece to Lean Six Sigma—Beyond Lean–>FactoryPhysics®. FactoryPhysics® is foundational to better utilizing Lean Six Sigma as it is focused on operation science.
Lean Six Sigma Online Courses
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Workshop
This short course provides an introduction to Lean Six Sigma. The history of Lean Six Sigma is discussed and the DMAIC process is introduced. Various tools used in Lean Six Sigma projects are introduced. A Lean Six Sigma case study is used to illustrate the execution of a Lean Six Sigma project. Organization-wide deployment of Lean Six Sigma, selection of Lean Six Sigma projects, formation of teams, project management, and Lean Six Sigma certification are discussed. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Yellow Belt Certificate in Lean Six Sigma.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Workshop
This short course provides an introduction to Lean Six Sigma. The history of Lean Six Sigma is discussed and the DMAIC process and concept of Lean are introduced. Lean Six Sigma tools used in Lean Six Sigma projects are introduced with a focus on application of statistical analysis. Several Lean Six Sigma case studies are presented to help students understand the execution of a Lean Six Sigma project and use of various tools. Organization-wide deployment of Lean Six Sigma, selection of Lean Six Sigma projects, formation of teams, project management, and Lean Six Sigma certification are discussed. Upon successful completion of the course and passing scores on quizzes, participants will receive a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
