WORK1102 – UAS Response Technician I

Description
The UAS Response Technician I (URT1) training course is the first of two required courses for the UAS Response Technician Certification. This course covers a combination of knowledge and practical skills that enable the student to operate UAS safely and effectively in public safety, emergency and disaster situations.
Scenario based practical training will reinforce classroom sessions and ensure students gain hands on experience relating to public safety missions.
Students will be placed into teams of 2-3 students – each team must have a multi-rotor UAS and supporting ground systems to include tablet or GCS laptop, spare batteries and charging capability. If an appropriate UAS is not available, a training system will be utilized by the team. Students should have a 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

- New methods in vegetable oil refining and processing
- Latest methods in bleaching, neutralization, interesterification and deodorization of major vegetable oils
- Production of biofuels
- Production of non-trans fats
- Filtration and vacuum systems and much more
The class builds upon itself progressively, therefore completion of the required readings and activities is critical to student success. This class depends on classroom activity and participation in the field.
This course will cover 16 hours of instruction and activities over two days.
